Your data, simply explained
Lazy Traveler is built for quick trip planning without an account. Here is what we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us.
- Lazy Traveler may process trip prompts, starting city, destination, travel preferences (food, pace, companions, dates), and optional current location only to generate trip suggestions. We do not require account creation.
- Location is used only when you tap "Use my current location." You can avoid sharing precise location by typing a city manually.
- Before itinerary generation, Lazy Traveler discloses that it uses OpenAI to process your trip request and selected preferences so it can generate itinerary suggestions. Avoid including sensitive personal information in trip prompts. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train or improve its models unless explicitly opted in, and API inputs/outputs may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and service operation unless a different retention setting applies.
- Mobile Settings includes an AI Data Sharing disclosure. Location sharing remains separate: precise device location is only used when you tap to use current location.
- We also use third-party services to run the app: Google Places (place search and suggestions when enabled), Pexels (destination images), Vercel (hosting), and optional analytics or error monitoring described below.
- Analytics and crash reporting: In production Lazy Traveler uses Vercel Analytics (anonymous page views), Vercel Speed Insights (performance metrics), and Sentry (error and crash reports). Sentry is configured to scrub trip prompts and request bodies before transmission. Microsoft Clarity is not loaded unless a Clarity project ID is configured for production; if enabled, it is used for session replay and usability heatmaps and is disclosed here before use. We do not sell your personal information.
- If you send feedback through the site, we receive your message and any contact details you include so we can respond. Feedback and support messages are kept only as long as needed to answer, debug, and improve the app, then deleted or de-identified.
- Lazy Traveler does not create user accounts. Saved trips are stored on your device. Server logs, security logs, and error events are kept for operational troubleshooting and normally reviewed within 30 days unless a security, abuse, billing, or legal issue requires longer retention.
- To request deletion of feedback or support messages, email bhatt.ishani@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 7 days and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless retention is required for security, abuse prevention, billing, or legal reasons.
- Trip suggestions are informational only. Lazy Traveler does not book hotels, flights, tickets, or restaurants. Verify hours, safety, prices, weather, accessibility, tickets, and menus before you travel.
